From a young age, I have always been extremely interested in music.  As a child, I sang in choir and took piano lessons.  When I was in junior high and high school, I was a percussionist and played both pitched and nonpitched percussion instruments.  During my senior year, I served as drum major and led the marching band on the field.

However, my heart was in singing music.  I studied vocal music at Lee College in Baytown.  Afterwords, I continued my music educational studies at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches and received my Bachelor of Music with concentration in voice.  In addition, I was also part of the Study Abroad summer program, where I spent ten days in Italy.  It was truly a life-altering experience.  Musical theatre has also played a large part of my life.  I have served as both a cast and crew member in local theatre productions, such as Hairspray and The Sound of Music, have been a substitute teacher, and was recently an elementary music teacher for Goose Creek CISD.
