Mr. Mark Sims
Mark Sims received his high school diploma at L.V. Berkner High School in Richardson, Texas (1980), an Associate’s Degree from Richland Jr. College in Dallas, Texas (1982), a Bachelor’s Degree from North Texas State University (1984) and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Stephen F. Austin State University (2001).
Mr. Sims has over 30 years of experience in education which began in the Galena Park school district in 1985. After earning his Master's Degree in only 10 months, Mark Sims joined the Channelview ISD family in 2001 beginning at Channelview High School as an assistant principal. Mr. Sims was asked to lead the Endeavor program in April of 2005.
Endeavor moved to its new home at the Joe Frank Campbell Learning Center in the spring of 2012. Mr. Sims along with other Endeavor staff members, assisted in the development of the new building.
Mr. Sims believes the Campbell Learning Center not only allows students the opportunity to earn their high school diploma, but the school can be a positive impact in the lives of children, parents and educators in the Channelview area. The on-going outreach to the community in programs such as blood drives, CPR/AED training for students, pancake breakfasts and teaching the students the concept of “Paying It Forward” is what Mr. Sims wants the Campbell Center to be known for.
