Degrees and Certifications:
Hello, my name is Miss Denton. I am an English teacher for 7th grade at Anthony Aguirre Junior High School, in room 728. My job is to teach your students or you if you are a student, how to use words wisely. Whether it is through the spoken word or the written word, the power behind those words can have a great and lasting impact on the people receiving those words. Let’s make sure our kids make the right kind of impact.
This will be my second year teaching; I have an Associate in History from San Jacinto College, and a Bachelor’s degree in History from University of Houston Clear Lake, as well as holding 3 state teaching certifications. I decided to become a teacher, because I want to make a difference in the lives of the children I meet. I have gone through a lot of trials and tribulations in my own life that have taught me that everyone, no matter who they are, what they are going through, or what their past holds, needs to have someone who they know will always be there for them to cheer them on and support them. As a teacher, that is my job--to be there for each of my students and support them throughout their academic career. As a parent myself, this is something that just comes naturally to me. I look forward to getting to know everyone. Feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call me at 281-860-3300 Ext. 3075.
