Channelview ISD Technology Department

The technology department facilitates the effective use of computers and other technology districtwide. This includes the following responsibilities:

Assisting in the development of short and long-range plans for the use of technology.
Implementing and coordinating technology staff development and training.
Providing leadership and technical expertise to principals and other district personnel in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of technology hardware and software.
Assisting in the intergration of technology in the existing curriculum.
Providing assistance with the bidding process, purchase, distribution, maintenance, and installation of hardware, software, and other technological equipment and materials within instructional programs.
Assisting in the development of policies and procedures regarding technology.
Installing and upgrading computers and peripherals throughout the district.
Diagnosing and repairing equipment, including printers, servers, and computers.
