STAAR Testing Information

A new testing journey begins with the launch of the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness or STAAR in the 2011–2012 school year.   The new rigorous program will focus on readiness for success in subsequent grades and courses and, ultimately, for college and career.  The standardized testing program includes tests for students in grades 3–12.  This year CISD students in grades 3-9 will participate in the STAAR program. Students in grades 10 and 11 will continue to participate in the TAKS program since TAKS is their graduation requirement.  Below are several helpful links to STAAR resources.
