March 4--Houston Methodist Offers Vaccine to Teachers
Vaccine Scheduling link for teachers: Please note the following covered individuals: those who work in pre-primary, primary and secondary schools, as well as Head Start and Early Head Start programs (including teachers, staff and bus drivers) and those who work as or for licensed child care providers, including center-based and family care providers.

March 3-- School and child care personnel now eligible to be vaccinated
The Texas Department of State Health Services today notified all vaccine providers that they should immediately include school and child care workers in vaccine administration.

March 2--Additional Educator COVID-19 Vaccine Waitlist
Vaccine is currently available only for those in Phase 1A and Phase 1B per the State of Texas.
If you are not in those categories, you may register but will not be offered the ability to schedule an appointment for the vaccine until you are in a group that is authorized under the State of Texas guidelines.
Please note that upon being placed on this waitlist you will be selected for a vaccine based on a prioritized and randomized process. For additional information on how you will be selected and notified Click here.

More vaccines are supposed to be available in the Houston area this week. But it appears some pharmacies approved to give shots are still waiting to get doses of the vaccines.

CVS to administer the vaccine
CVS Pharmacy expects to begin offering COVID-19 vaccinations to those eligible to receive them next Thursday, Feb. 11, across its 70 Texas locations, including those in the Houston area. Vaccines will be offered on an appointment-only basis through CVS.com or through the CVS Pharmacy app, and those without online access can contact 1-800-746-7287.
