Ms. Monique Miles, M. Ed.

Monique Miles comes to Channelview ISD with an accomplished professional educator background with over nineteen years of experience.  Her proven expertise is in teaching, technology integration, curriculum development, facilitating professional learning communities, instructional coaching, vertical planning, scheduling, response to intervention, and staff development.  

Ms. Miles has ten years experience as a classroom teacher with working knowledge of curriculum and instruction; nine years of curriculum and instruction support to teachers (Early Childhood -5th grade) in reading, math and science; six years as an instructional specialist, academic assessment and data coordinator.  Her strengths include developing creative and interactive lessons for rigor and relevance, supporting teachers and implementing in technology, researched based strategies, evaluating data to determine student/staff needs, providing professional development, implementing student activities to close achievement gaps, and creating a favorable environment for teachers and students.

Marc Chicoria

Marc Chicoria is originally from Westerly, Rhode Island and is a graduate of Saint Bernards High School in Connecticut.  He attended The University of West Florida and received his Bachelor of Arts in History in 1995 with a minor in Marine Biology. 


Mr. Chicoria taught at Alice Johnson Junior High for 12 years and has been a teacher for 23 years before moving over to be one of the districts Secondary Technology Integration Specialists. He works mostly with the Secondary campuses in CISD. 


Mr. Chicoria focuses on introducing new ways of implementing technology into the curriculum.  He is passionate about helping students, teachers enhance their learning through technology.
