Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! Here is a little about myself. My name is Mary Hernandez. I have been teaching for 9 years but in education for 20. I graduated from The Art Institute of Houston for Graphic Design but decided to get my alternative certification in teaching. I was at Sheldon ISD previously but transferred to Channelview ISD this school year. I am super excited about being a Hamblen Hawk. 

I have been married for 3 years. My husband also teaches here at Hamblen for 4th grade. I have a 16-year-old daughter, Emily, and 3 step-children. I love to hunt, fish, play video games and lots of crafts. I also have 2 dogs (Braxon and Blue) as well as 6 cats ( Mr. Garbage, Picky, Cali, Judy, Gizzy and Squirrel). That pretty much sums me up.  ;)
