                                                               About Me
I was born in New Orleans, LA where I lived until graduating from McDonogh 35 High School. I was awarded an athletic scholarship to the University of Houston where I received a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management. After working several years in industry and the birth of the first of our three sons, I decided I wanted to teach. I have taught at Channelview High School for the past 14 years and I have also served as the Girls’ basketball coach for the past 13 years. Living and working in Channelview has afforded me an opportunity to grow professionally as well as personally. I have a passion for educating our young people and watching them evolve into contributing members of society. I am an avid sports fan which makes my coaching duties one of life’s great pleasures. This school year promises to be extraordinary because the students are motivated and the teachers are fired up and ready to make sure everyone who works hard will achieve success. I love technology and I want to inspire my students to take full advantage of the wonderful opportunities they all have.  I look forward to preparing all my students to be successful contributors in the 21st century workforce.
