I am married to a wonderful man named Robert and we have 3 children, a son-in-law and a 1-year old grandson. We also have a dog named Stryker, a cat named Hunter and a Parrot named Toby.  We just relocated to the area from Fort Worth and currently reside in Kemah where we are able to enjoy sailing, boating and being on the water.

I grew up in a little town named Snyder, Texas and relocated to DeSoto, TX when I was in 7th grade.  I graduated from DeSoto High School and began attending a community college and later graduated from Dallas Baptist University with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.  I worked in the corporate field for 15 years and then I was able to stay at home with my daughter, my step-son and my step-daughter for about 6 years.  During that time I taught pre-school for 2 years and absolutely loved it.  When it was time to go back to work, I decided not to go back to the corporate world and I took a position with Fort Worth ISD as an assistant to the Director of Psychological Services.  It was then that I realized that I truly wanted to teach and that every child wants to learn and deserves to have the opportunity to learn and to do so in a great environment!  So….I pursued my teaching certification and here I am!
