    Progress Reports

You will receive a school wide progress report every 3rd week of each 9 week cycle.

Students will receive a detailed progress report if they are failing or borderline. They will receive this before the school wide progress report and this will need to be returned signed by parent/guardian within 2 days from the date it was given.

    Interactive Notebooks

You must bring your Interactive Notebook to class at all times.

    Notebooks may/will be randomly checked

You will receive a grade on notebook organization and completion

    Leaving the Class

You may only leave class if there is an emergency. You have 3 restroom passes per 9 weeks.

Cleaning up at the End of Class

Do not stop working until I signal

Put everything you used back in its proper place

    Make sure area is clean

I dismiss class, not the bell

    Absent/Make-up work

Assignments can be made up if the student has missed a class/lecture. When you have missed class, it is your responsibility to get the missed assignment from the make-up folder in the file labeled your class period. The student has one day for each day absent to turn it in. If you miss a quiz/test day, you must schedule a day afterschool to make it up.

If extra help is needed, please let me know. Schedule a tutorial.

Assignments will be given daily and must be completed in pencil ONLY. Be sure to always write your full name, date, and period on ALL assignments.  Failure to do so will result in point deduction. Students will receive a (skill builder) homework every Wednesday and due by Friday. All class assignments and homework should be completed in a neat and orderly fashion.

    Late Work Policy

Missing homework or assignments are NOT acceptable. If an assignment or homework is not completed in time, a parent/guardian contact will be made and the grade will drop 10 points. If the work is not turned in the following day, the grade drops to a 70 and a tutorial/detention will be issued.

Tests will be given approximately every 2-3 weeks. All tests are to be completed in pencil only.  During the test, students must follow the proper procedures – no talking, eyes on your own paper, no passing of notes, etc.  Failure to follow testing procedures may result in a “0” and a discipline referral.

    • Students can make corrections to the original test during class review or in tutorials. The re-test must be within 3 school days of the original test date for a maximum grade of 70. Please adhere to the following guidelines when making test corrections:
    • Students are required to make test corrections on a separate sheet of paper
    • Write down the questions you missed
    • Show your work/strategies
    • Submit the correct answer
    • Staple your corrections to the original test

If at any time you are having difficulties in this class, let me know and I will be glad to assist you.

Tutorials will be held after school every Tuesday from 4:15 – 5:00 p.m.

*Alternate times will be available for students, upon request.
