Philosophy StatementThe Channelview Independent School District is dedicated to providing a free, appropriate public education to all children with disabilities, ages 3-21 that live within the Channelview ISD boundaries. The special services staff is committed to providing support, services, and accommodations to students in the least restrictive environment. This mission is accomplished through the collaboration of students, parents, school personnel, and community members.
Do you know of an infant, child, or adolescent who does not learn easily? All individuals develop at their own pace, but some have more difficulty than others. There is a way to make a difference for these children and adolescents.
Channelview Independent School District (CISD) is committed to locating, identifying, and evaluating children ages 0-21 with disabilities who may qualify for Section 504, special education, and related services. This process is known as Child Find.
Anyone can start the Child Find process: a parent, doctor, teacher, relative, or friend can call Channelview ISD, Special Services Department at 281-452-8006.
