7th GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES
I graduted from Baylor University (Sic 'Em Bears!) and have previously taught high school social studies and was a assistant coach for both colorguard and for dance. My favorite colors are yellow and red. I have three brothers, a dog, and two beautiful neices that I adore. I love to travel, drink coffee, and in my free time I enjoy hanging with friends, family, and reading. Some interesting facts about me are that I won first runner up my first time competing in a pageant and that I cannot stand to eat seafood or hot wings because they creep me out.
WHAT TO EXPECT
I hold all students to the same high and quality expectations. The main expectation is that students give their absolute best when tackling anything in my classroom. I understand that the path each student takes in meeting this and other expectations are different, but are not impossible. I believe that every child deserves a chance at a quality educational experience regardless of their family's socioeconomic status. Because of this I strive to give each student a fun, engaging, yet challenging academic experience.
A NOTE TO PARENTS
As stated above, I am commited to helping your child tackle and master all academic challenges. My main goal is to help your son or daughter build and strengthen their confidence in academic matters. I am always avaliable and open for communication.
My conference period is every Tuesday and Thursday during 6th from 2:19 p.m. to 3:07 p.m. I can be reached via text or call at 713-396-2779 or via email anytime at firstname.lastname@example.org. If calling or texting I ask that you contact me between the times of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Any calls or text messages sent after 6:00 p.m. will not be answered until the next morning. This however, does not apply to email.
A NOTE TO STUDENTS
I've always stressed to my students that I am here to help you in any possible way and that I am always on your team. My job is to help you piece information together and to give you tools to be sure you are prepared for life when you go beyond my classroom. The best way I can achieve this is when you communicate timely and honestly with me. I am very understanding and try to find solutions to your problems. That being said, I charge you, the student, to always try everything, be honest, and to never give up.
