Channelview ISD Principals and Assistant Principals

    Principals

October is National Principals' Month.  Channelview Independent School District is proud of all our hardworking Principals and Assistant Principals!

    Community Support

In recognition of the growing threat of mass casualty events and the need for enhanced training of bystanders to manage life-threatening bleeding in these situations, the district has moved forward with the installation of bleeding control kits in all public buildings in Channelview Independent School District.

These kits will provide the tools to allow immediate management of life-threatening hemorrhage until EMS providers can arrive.  Channelview ISD is one of the few districts in our area to implement Stop the Bleed.

LyondellBasell provided a monetary donation that funded the purchase of tourniquets, Greater Houston Office Products donated backpacks that will hold of all the necessary materials for bleed kits, and the Channelview Fire Department has donated rubber gloves, medical scissors, bandages, and portable transport units.

    Interact Students

    Interact

Channelview High School InterAct students volunteered at the SA110 Memorial Climb on September 11, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas.  At this memorial, firefighters, police officers, paramedics, EMT’s, and civilians come together to remember the sacrifices those brave men and women made on that tragic day.  The students met at the school at midnight Tuesday morning, drove to San Antonio, helped set up the event, sold merchandise, assisted with the teardown and clean-up of the event, and helped collect donations.  The InterAct members that participated in this event are Veronica Aguilar, Gabriel Flores, Taylor Guillory, Dezyre James, Angel Luna, Irvin Solano, and Saron Thornton.  The InterAct sponsors are Jessica Palous and Steven Shoemaker.
