Channelview ISD Special Olympics

 

This year’s 2019 Channelview Special Olympics Team kicked off a great Spring Season in February!!

The team attended the 2019 St. John’s Special Olympic Track Meet in Houston, TX on April 6, 2019 lead by Head Coach Jamie Everett. The group consisted of 4 high school age boys and 2 assistant coaches . . . Rita Arredondo, and Samantha Dickens.

In preparation for the meet, the team’s season consisted of 8 practices once a week on Tuesdays at Harvey Brown Elementary from 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm. Channelview ISD made their mark at this year’s meet, and we cannot wait to see what next year brings! GO FALCONS!

The boys competed in the following events: Tennis Ball Throw, Softball Throw, Mini-Javelin, Shot Put, 50m Dash, 100m Dash, and the 4x100m Relay.
