Channelview ISD supported the fight against breast cancer during the annual Pink Out Awareness games

Pink replaced the traditional blue and gold school colors during the Lady Falcons volleyball games and the Friday Night Football game in Channelview Independent School District (CISD).  Channelview fans and players joined the fight against breast cancer during the annual Pink Out athletic events, organized by student leaders from the CISD athletics program.

The Lady Falcons volleyball team started the night out with a hard fought match against North Shore, but fell just short in the 5th set to lose 3 sets to 2. The Fighting Falcons football team finished the night off with a bang with a 41-14 win against Baytown Sterling.  The Fighting Falcons quarterback Demetrius Charles went 15 for 23, 182 yards and 1 TD in the air to go along with 2 rushing touchdowns.  Wide Receiver Trevon Chandler was 1 for 1, 69 yds and 1 TD passing to go with his 9 catches for 128 yards and 1 TD.  The defense had a stellar night holding Baytown Sterling to only 179 yards of total offense.  The Fighting Falcons will play an away game against Beaumont West Brook on Friday, October 11 at 7 pm.
