Channelview ISD Superintendent Dr. Tory C. Hill Among Few Selected to Participate in Holdsworth Superintendent Leadership Program
Channelview, TX – September 8, 2022: The Holdsworth Superintendent Leadership Program, a prestigious professional-development program for Texas superintendents, announced its newest cohort of education leaders, among those selected is Channelview ISD Superintendent Dr. Tory C. Hill.
The leadership program identifies a limited number of superintendents from across Texas to participate in their 18-month program and guides superintendents to become better leaders and mentors. The program is offered to exceptional leaders who are new to a large school district or are in their first five years of being a superintendent.
“It’s an honor to be selected for this program. I am well aware of the exceptional opportunities Holdsworth provides for educational leaders and I am humbled to work alongside other superintendents who were selected,” said Superintendent Dr. Tory C. Hill. “Participating in this program will build my capacity as the chief executive of Channelview ISD, a district that I am fortunate to lead. At the end of the day, my leadership growth is for students and this academy will help us create optimal learning experiences for CISD students.”
Dr. Hill will have the opportunity to receive executive coaching from retired superintendents Dr. Thomas Randle and Dr. Art Cavazos, exemplary leaders in the field of education. He will also attend learning sessions in Austin where he will be able to discuss the challenges school superintendents have and how to overcome current obstacles in the education field.
“At Holdsworth, our visionis to impact, over time, the quality of public education provided to all Texas students. We believe that high-quality leadership is critical to achieving this vision and that the Superintendent's leadership is especially critical as we face unprecedented challenges. Our aim through the Superintendent Leadership Program is to provide a collaborative community for early-career superintendents that supports their ability to lead school districts toward excellence and equity for all students,” said Program Director Rachel Gallardo.
