Updates from County Judge Lina Hidalgo
The recent spike in COVID-19 infections and significantly decreasing availability of ICU bed capacity shows Harris County is not yet in the clear when it comes to the danger posed by the virus. In light of these developments, County Judge Lina Hidalgo’s office has developed an easy-to-understand color-coded system designed to help residents better comprehend the threat from COVID-19 and provide clear guidance on the steps we all need to take to protect our community.
There are four levels: Level 1 severe (RED – STAY HOME, WORK SAFE),
Level 2 significant (ORANGE – MINIMIZE ALL CONTACTS),
Level 3 moderate (YELLOW – STAY VIGILANT),
and Level 4 minimal (GREEN – RESUME NORMAL CONTACTS).
