8th Grade Assistant Principal- LaTonya Rudolph

8th Grade Assistant Principal- Mrs. LaTonya Rudolph
I am honored to serve as the Assistant Principal at Alice Johnson Junior High, a role that allows me to support students, staff, and our school community each day. Itโs a privilege to contribute to a learning environment where every individual is valued and empowered to succeed.
My journey in education began in 2002 when I entered the classroom as a science teacher, inspired by a passion for discovery and a deep commitment to nurturing young minds. After nearly a decade of helping students build strong academic foundations, I felt called to expand my impact and transitioned into school counseling in 2011. That experience profoundly shaped my understanding of the emotional and social challenges students face and reinforced my belief in the importance of holistic supportโaddressing not only academic growth but also emotional well-being.
My educational background has played a key role in shaping my professional path. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas Southern University, where my fascination with the natural world took root. Eager to deepen my knowledge and better serve students, I pursued graduate studies at Prairie View A&M University, earning both a Master of Arts in Counseling and a Master of Education. These degrees have equipped me with the tools to guide students effectively and collaborate meaningfully with educators and families.
Each chapter of my career has strengthened my belief that education is a powerful, transformative forceโnot only for students but for entire communities. As Assistant Principal, I remain committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging school culture where every student is encouraged to reach their full potential.
Sincerely,
LaTonya Rudolph
