Anita M. Green M.Ed. - Harvey Brown's School Counselor

Dear Harvey Brown families,

Welcome back to a new school year!!! We are so excited to be able to have all of our students in the school building.  My position as your school counselor is to ensure that all of our Harvey Brown students' social, emotional, academic and future career needs are enhanced through a variety of activities and services provided throughout the school year. Guidance and counseling is both preventative and proactive and is designed to reach out to all students through four delivery systems:  guidance curriculum, individual planning, responsive services, and system support. I teach guidance lessons, facilitate small group counseling, provide individual counseling and I consult with family and staff. My goal is to assist students in decision making, goal-setting, problem solving, interpersonal effectiveness, responsible behavior, cross-cultural effectiveness, self- confidence, character development and communication skills. All of these skills are necessary to develop economic productivity, responsible citizenship, effective living and an overall enjoyment of life.

My greatest achievement and accomplishment and the loves of my life are my 23-year-old twin sons, Alan and Aaron; both college graduates living their best lives.

I am here for you and your children.

 Kindest Regards,

Mrs. Anita M. Green M.Ed.
