Ramon Garcia

Biography
Ramon Garcia is a proud alumnus of Pasadena High School and a graduate of Texas A&M University–Kingsville, where he earned his degree in Music Education with a focus in trumpet and voice. During his time at TAMUK, he performed and competed across Texas and throughout the United States, further developing his passion for music and performance.
Mr. Garcia completed his student teaching in Channelview ISD under the guidance of Mr. Aaron Allison and Mrs. Rosalyn Carter. Following that experience, he served as a long-term substitute band director in Pasadena ISD before returning to Channelview in Fall 2022 as the Associate Director of Bands at Channelview High School.
In addition to his work with the band program, Mr. Garcia was given the opportunity to establish Channelview ISD’s first mariachi ensemble, Mariachi Halcón de Oro, where he continues to share his dedication to musical excellence and cultural tradition with his students.
