My name is Mr. Jabari Lockett, and I am proud to serve as a U.S. History teacher at Channelview High School. I hold both a Bachelor's Degree in History and a Master's Degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University.

I have been an educator at Channelview ISD for 15 years, specializing in U.S. History and African American Studies, and I also have extensive experience in credit recovery and student success programs. Previously, I served as the Head Boys' Soccer coach and continue to support our students both in the classroom and through extracurricular opportunities.

In recognition of my dedication to teaching and student achievement, I was honored as Teacher of the Year (2025). I am also a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, where I continue to model leadership, scholarship, and service.

I am passionate about inspiring students to connect with history in meaningful ways, equipping them with tools to succeed academically and personally. I look forward to another great and successful school year at Channelview High!
