
Arrival
Campus doors open at 7:35 for student drop off.
Please do not drop your child off before 7:35 a.m. because staff is not available to supervise students. An administrator will contact you when students are left unattended before school hours.
Attendance
When your child is absent, send a note explaining the reason for the absence within three (3) days of the absence.
A doctor's note is required when your child has three or more consecutive absences.
When your child leaves early, a parent note or doctor’s note is required.
Make-up work will only be provided for excused absences for early check-out.
It may be difficult for your child to understand or make up material that they miss while they are absent.
Students with excessive absences (excused and unexcused) will require review by an attendance committee and could result in:
Students with 13 absences required to complete credit recovery.
Students with 18 absences will lose credit for the year and may be retained.
Breakfast
Breakfast is served at no charge to our students and served from 7:35-8:05.
The cafeteria is closed to visitors during breakfast service.
Communication
Staff will use School Status to contact parents and guardians.
Parent conferences can be scheduled on designated days during teachers' planning periods, before school, and after school.
Students are issued an agenda. Review agenda contents daily, sign and return. Replacement agendas can be purchased for $5.
School-wide notes and graded work will go home in student folders on Tuesday

Dismissal
Classes are dismissed at 3:40 p.m. We begin staging for dismissal at 3:30
Bus riders - Students who ride the bus will be dismissed from the bus loading area.
For safety reasons, parents are prohibited from entering the bus lane or the bus loading area.
Car Riders - Students who are car riders should be picked up using the circle drive.
Parents are prohibited from parking in the school parking lot and walking up to the porch to pick up their student(s).
Parents/guardians without a tag will be asked to park and come in to the front office to verify their identity and complete student pick-up.
Walkers - only students that live on Euclid Street or Crockett Street may walk home with adult supervision at dismissal.
Lost & Found
We ask that you label any item brought from home with your child's first and last name. Every effort will be made to return any items wih names on them.
Clothing and lunch kits found at school will be placed in the lost and found area near the cafeteria.
All other items found at school will be placed in the front office.
When an item is lost, students and parents are encouraged to look through the lost and found for any lost items or contact the front office staff.
At the end of each semester all unclaimed items are discarded.
Lunch
Parents and guardians are welcome to visit for lunch on Tuesday and Thursday.
Students are asked to know and enter their student identification number. This ID number remains the same from Kindergarten - 12th grade.
Lunch from home should be sent with the student in the morning. Lunches will not be delivered to students.
A table has been set up in the front office for you to leave lunches. Mark items with the student’s name. Please let your child know that they are to check the table in the front office for any items that you will be delivering.
We do not interrupt instruction for deliveries.
Medication
Do not send medicine to school with your child.
All medication must be given to the school nurse by a parent or guardian and the appropriate forms must be completed.
Student Check-Out
Parents and guardians must present picture identification when checking your child out for the day. Photo ID will be scanned through Raptor.
Student check-out by anyone other than a parent or guardian requires written permission from a parent/guardian. Contact the front office for specific requirements.
Students who leave during lunch or groups will have to collect their belongings the next day they are in school.
Transportation & Transportation Changes
If your child will ride the bus to school, contact transportation at 281-452-8020 to get specific information on pick up/drop-off times and bus stops.
All transportation changes must be made in writing (send a note with student, fax, email, or via School Status).
Transportation changes will not be accepted after 2:30 p.m.
Visitors
When visiting the campus, parents and guardians must present picture identification which can be scanned through Raptor, our background check system, to determine if there is anything which might prohibit them from entering the campus.
Classroom observations must be scheduled with a campus administrator or teacher.
Campus visits by anyone other than a parent or guardian require written permission from a parent/guardian. Contact the front office for specific requirements.
Visits by school aged children are prohibited during school hours.
Parents, guardians, or visitors without a photo identification will be denied entry into the building.
