About me
Hi, my name is Mrs.Leija and I teach 2nd grade at De Zavala Elementary. This is my sixth year in education and my second year at this campus. I obtained my Bachelor's Degree of Science in Teaching and Learning from the University of Houston Main. I am certified to teach early childhood through 6th grade. I'm a firm believer that children learn best when they are in a safe space. My goal is to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all students to be able to successfully grow and learn.
