Hello, Hamblen Hawks!

My name is Hyacinth Natividad and I’m so excited to be joining Hamblen Elementary as your new school counselor this year! As a first- year counselor, I’m truly honored to begin my journey here, working with our amazing students, families, and staff.

A little about me —

I was born and raised in the Philippines. I have been in education for 20 years and this is my 12th year with Channelview ISD. I am also an Occupational Therapist, a Licensed Nurse, a Certified Autism Specialist and a Certified Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructor. I chose to become an elementary school counselor because I believe in the power of early support and encouragement. I love creating a positive, fun, and welcoming environment where scholars feel comfortable being themselves. Outside of school, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my two kids.
