Lifeskills Self-Contained Teacher Grades K-5

My name is Ana Mena. I was born and raised here in Channelview, Texas. This is my third year as a Special Education Teacher. This will be my sixth year working with students with special needs. I have three autistic nephews, with multiple other disabilities, who inspire me to become a better educator for my students. Because of them, I am very passionate in special education and serving children who are lacking a voice and/or need additional help in order to succeed.

I obtained an Associates of Arts in Teaching from San Jacinto College-North Campus and obtained a Bachelors Degree in Bilingual and Special Education from the University of Houston-Downtown.

I believe every child should receive an exceptional education and I am here to provide my students with the best possible! I am excited about this new school year and excited to help my students learn and grow!
