My name is Mkayla Edwards, and I am the Middle School Theatre Teacher at both Anthony Aguirre Junior High School and Alice Johnson Junior High School.

I've been teaching for 3 years, and I've done theatre arts since I was in the 4th grade. I’ve done almost everything, from costumes, makeup, acting, and playwriting.

I went to Texas State University, and graduated 2023 with a B.F.A in Theatre Arts. GO BOBCATS! I am also getting my Master of Education at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, graduating 2025.

It is my goal to teach your students how to work together as a troupe to build productions and skills at the middle school level that will prepare them for their time in high school.
