Anthony Aguirre Library

Ms. Bookout

Welcome to the Anthony Aguirre Jr. High Library. I am your librarian, Ms. Bookout. I have over 25 years experience in education, with 20 of those being in Channelview. After working at Channelview High School for 19 years, the opportunity arose for me to come to Aguirre Jr. High . I am very excited about working with middle school students and teachers! The students are scheduled to visit the library every two week with their ELAR teacher. Below my picture is a link to our library online catalog. I will keep you informed of upcoming Library events on this website.

WHAT WE HAVE BEEN LEARNING IN THE LIBRARY:

For the Month of September students reviewed fiction and non-fiction literature. They also learned about the different genres that are available in the Aguirre Library and where they are located. They were introduced to the Dewey Decimal System which is the organizational system for the non-fiction section of the library.

In October we will be honoring National Book Month and preparing for our upcoming Book Fair the week of November 16th-20th. You will receiving more information about our book fair later this month. Go to the Aguirre Book Fair Page for more information and sign up for eWallet.
