About Me:

Hello Parents,

Welcome to the new school year and to LOTC!!!

My name is Tiffany Brown and I am excited to work with you and your student this school year. I am Houston Native and a United States Army Veteran. I am in my 12th year with Channelview School District. Before starting in LOTC, I worked as an Aide in Life Skills.

Where I love every aspect of being an LOTC Instructor, the part I love the most is seeing the students on LOTC Competition Teams work hard at practice preparing for competitions. Seeing their joy when they bring trophies home and being proud of themselves makes me even more proud of them. I love what I do because they love what they do in class and at competitions.

I look forward to working with your student teaching them how to be a leader, setting goals for now and the future, and many other things that will help them become responsible for their actions and leaders at school and at home.

Hello my name is Tameka Andrus and I am thrilled to be working with you and your scholar in the LOTC program, here at Lance Corporal Anthony Aguirre Junior High. I am originally from Gary, Indiana.

Iโ€™m a proud Army veteran where I served as a Construction Engineer Supervisor and achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. Upon completing my time in the military, my family and I decided to stay in Texas and relocated to Houston. After transitioning from the military, I perused a career as a Pharmacy Technician. Prior to being in the classroom with your scholar full time, I have spent countless hours as a parent volunteer.

I am looking forward and very excited help your child learns to become leaders in their community and school.
