Welcome! My name is Mrs. Moody, a lifelong learner. I enjoy spending quality time and traveling with my husband and our wonderful family. I am an award-winning educator in both mathematics and science. I currently sit on the NSTA Shell committee for Teacher Awards, am a NASA STEM educator, and am pursuing my doctoral degree in STEM curriculum and instruction (May 2027 graduation).

Accolades:

I am a two-time NSTA Shell Regional Science Lab Challenge winner and a two-time NSTA Shell National Grand Prize winner, winning over $35,000 in grants.

I was named 1 of 4 educators in the nation as a NASA SPARX Trailblazer Educator, which has provided me with amazing opportunities with NASA.

Education:

I hold multiple degrees and certifications. I am currently pursuing my doctoral degree from UHCL in STEM Curriculum and Instruction. I also hold degrees from the University of Phoenix with a Master of Arts in Education-Curriculum and Instruction degree, the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Technology Leadership and Innovation Management degree and Lean Six Sigma(yellow belt) certification, and San Jacinto College with an Associate of Applied Science in Business Management and Supervision degree from San Jacinto College and multiple certifications. In 2021, I was inducted into the National Honor Society of Leadership and Success. 

I love my Houston Coogs, Rockets, Astros/Braves, and Texans! I love Harry Potter, pens, chocolates, Starbucks/Dutch Bros., and the color aqua.
