Channelview ISD is encouraging all high school seniors and transfer students to take part in Texas Free College Application Week, happening October 13–19, 2025.
During this special week, Texas public colleges and universities will waive all application fees for Texas residents, including first-year applicants and transfer students applying through the ApplyTexas portal.
This initiative provides students across the state with a unique opportunity to apply to college at no cost — removing financial barriers that often prevent students from taking their next step toward higher education.
“By removing application fees, more students can focus on choosing the college that fits them best rather than worrying about the cost of applying. We are grateful this opportunity has been given to our students,” said Channelview ISD Superintendent Dr. Tory C. Hill. “This effort aligns perfectly with our district’s mission to prepare every student to thrive in an ever-changing world.”
Channelview High School and Endeavor High School counselors will be available throughout the week to assist students with their applications and ensure they meet the October 19 deadline.
Students and families can learn more or begin their applications by visiting www.applytexas.org
