About Us

Christy Irvin, EdD
Coordinator of Academic Technology and Innovative Programs
Dr. Christy Irvin is a fervent advocate for Innovation and STEM in Education. After serving as a cryptologist in the United States Air Force, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Houston. Following 18 years of classroom teaching, Dr. Irvin acquired her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of St. Thomas and her Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, focusing on STEM Education. She enjoys working with teachers and staff, especially in finding pathways for postsecondary success for our Channelview students, particularly in STEM interests and careers.
