Proposition B
Facilities, Equipment, Safety & Infrastructure
Bond Amount: $106,825,000
Proposition B is the largest of the bond propositions and focuses on districtwide facility improvements, safety upgrades, infrastructure replacement and equipment needs across multiple campuses and programs. The projects included in Proposition B were identified through the long-range planning process and are intended to address aging infrastructure, support student programs and maintain district facilities.
Why Is Proposition B Being Considered?
School districts must continually maintain and replace building systems, equipment and infrastructure as they age. Through the planning process, committee members reviewed facilities, evaluated district needs and identified projects designed to:
Address aging infrastructure
Improve safety and security
Expand opportunities for students
Support specialized instructional programs
Protect previous community investments
Reduce the likelihood of future emergency repairs
What's Included in Proposition B?

Many building systems require periodic replacement as they reach the end of their useful life.

Tax Impact
If Proposition B were approved and financed independently, the projected maximum tax rate impact is approximately:
+$0.1121 per $100 of taxable value
Because the district is modeling each proposition independently, the tax impacts shown for individual propositions are not additive. When financed together, repayment schedules are structured more efficiently, resulting in a combined impact that is less than the sum of the individual proposition impacts.
