I am honored to serve as the principal of De Zavala Elementary. I have served the Channelview community for 32 years; as a Teacher, Assistant Principal, and Principal.
I am a graduate of the University of St. Thomas, The University of Houston Clear Lake, and Rice University where I completed the Rice Education Entrepreneurship Program (REEP) Fellowship.
It is a privilege to be a part of a school community where parents, staff, and students care for one another and strive to build positive relationships that support academic and social growth. It is my priority to ensure that every student receives an equitable education, for them to feel safe and thrive in their school community.
Our teaching staff is the heart of our school. Their passion and commitment to student success are commendable. They go above and beyond to create engaging learning experiences, foster a positive classroom environment, and nurture each child’s potential.
