Gema Rodriguez is an intern from the Student Conservation Association who is working with Mrs. Perez at our campus this year. Her goal is to foster understanding about environmental and conservation issues that affect our community and world. In order to facilitate that understanding, she established a campus Environmental Program called Project Green. She creates 4 activities which are placed on the bulletin board in the cafeteria. Students can select 2 of them to complete by the end of the week. They will also participate in an outdoor activity which allows them to get down and dirty by directly working on projects around the campus. If students complete both tasks, Gema will provide them with lunch on Friday. If they do it for 3 weeks, they earn a spot on the next field trip.

Field trips will happen throughout the year. For more information or to see what our campus is doing to be positive stewards of our environment, check our website, social media, and weekly newsletter.
