Hamblen Elementary is thrilled that our own Mrs. Amber Logan was recognized as the CVISD Elementary Principal of the Year!
Mrs. Logan has been in education for over 20 years, all within Channelview ISD. She has worked in curriculum, as well as being an assistant principal at both Hamblen Elementary and Harvey Brown Elementary school before becoming the principal here at Hamblen.
Mrs. Logan holds a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from Lamar University and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Montana State University–Billings. She also holds certifications in Principal Leadership, ESL Instruction, and Elementary Education.
Here at Hamblen, she has worked tirelessly to promote student and teacher success and well being. Her drive, organizational skills, and open door policy toward students and teachers have made her an exceptional leader.
She and her fellow award recipient, Mr. Emeterio Cruz (Channelview's Secondary Principal of the Year) were recognized at the recent school board meeting. Dr. Hill, our Superintendent, gave them the following accolade: “These two leaders exemplify what it means to serve students with excellence, integrity, and vision. Their selection as Principals of the Year reflects the success of their campuses and their unwavering commitment to ensuring every student is supported and empowered to succeed.”
