I am deeply honored to serve as the principal at Hamblen Elementary. With over twenty years of experience in the Channelview Independent School District, I have been fortunate to grow both as an educator and a leader. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of serving in various roles including 2nd-grade and 4th-grade teacher, campus reading specialist, district literacy coach, and assistant principal. Each of these roles has enriched my understanding of how to support students and staff in achieving their fullest potential.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Montana State University and later obtained a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University. I grew up on a farm in Washington State, which taught me the values of hard work and perseverance—qualities I carry with me every day as an educator.
I have been happily married for over twenty years and am the proud parent of two wonderful children who keep me active with their many extracurricular activities. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and attending sporting events.
I am honored to lead Hamblen Elementary and look forward to partnering with you as we work together to provide a high-quality, inclusive, and engaging educational experience for every child. Together, we will strive for excellence for all.
At Hamblen Elementary, our mission goes beyond academics—we aim to build a strong, supportive community where every child feels seen, valued, and inspired to grow. I believe that open communication, collaboration, and a shared vision between school and home are key to student success. Together, we will make this an incredible year of learning, growth, and achievement.
