Welcome to 5th grade!

Hello! I'm Mrs. Zapata and welcome to my teacher page! This will be my 7th year in education- 4 years as a paraprofessional and 3 years as a 5th grade ELAR/SS teacher. All 7 years here in Channelview and 6 of the 7 years as a McMullan Mustang!!

I have lived in Channelview my whole life and am a proud product of Channelview ISD. (GO FALCONS!) I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Houston-Downtown and completed my teaching certification through Texas Teachers of Tomorrow.

My mission as an educator is to provide a meaningful education that reaches all students where they currently are in their education journey and continuously foster growth in a memorable way.

I have a husband and 3 dogs. I love anythings 90s-00s, memes, and llamas! When I am not teaching, I am reading, coloring, spending time with my family.
