Welcome to Mrs. Gonzalez’ 2nd Grade Class!

Hello! My name is Mrs. Merari Gonzalez, and I am truly excited to be your teacher this year. I have been part of the Channelview ISD family for ten years—first as a parent and later as a member of the staff. During this time, I have had the privilege of serving students as , reading tutor and classroom teacher. I have taught both first and second grade and look forward to another wonderful year of learning and growth together.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from Western Governors University and hold a Texas Educator Certification (EC-6). I also hold an Associate of Arts in Biology.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our three wonderful children.
