Hello, families!

I am Mrs. Melissa Portillo, and I am excited to welcome you for an amazing year in 5th grade!

This is my 12th year teaching, and I truly enjoy helping students discover their strengths, challenge themselves, and grow as learners.

I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Houston–Clear Lake.

My goal is to create a classroom where every student feels welcomed, supported, challenged, and encouraged to reach for their goals.
