The media have the responsibility to report noteworthy events, including those that occur in Channelview ISD. The district encourages positive relations with news reporters and other communications representatives. The district is committed to providing up-to-date, accurate information about the district and its activities in a timely and appropriate manner.

Each week the Office of Public Relations submits press releases and photographs to our local media. We also pitch feature stories about the accomplishments of our students and staff in cooperation with school administrators and other department supervisors.

All media reports and interviews will be handled by Channelview ISD's spokesperson or designee. Requests for campus photographs, videos and interviews will be scheduled through the Office of Public Relations (281-452-8080).

We balance maintaining an appropriate learning environment along with publicizing news about the district. Media access to school campuses shall be granted by the Office of Public Relations.
