The Channelview ISD Board of Trustees called an election that includes one proposition focused on school operations and four propositions focused on facilities and capital improvements. The propositions address different needs within the district and allow voters to consider each investment separately. The recommendations were developed through an eight-month planning process that included district staff, parents and community members. 

Each proposition will appear separately on the ballot, allowing voters to review and consider each proposal independently.

State law requires certain types of bond projects to be presented separately. In addition, separating propositions allows voters to consider each category of projects independently. The ballot structure provides voter choice and allows different types of projects to be evaluated on their own merits.
